The Head and The Heart

The emotion that has turned The Head and The Heart into one of the biggest indie folk bands on the road today is palpable. The band that has evolved into a folk pop force of nature began in late summer 2009 when lead singer/songwriter Josiah Johnson and lead singer/songwriter Jonathan Russell met other musicians at open mic nights at Seattle’s Conor Byrne pub. Fans know all their anthemic hits like “Rivers and Roads,” “Lost in My Mind,” “Honeybee,” “Down in the Valley,” “Another Story” and so many more special songs that have sound-tracked so many personal moments in our lives. Their new album, Aperture, was released on May 9, 2025 will likely be the feature on this tour.

The Brudi Brothers

The Americana trio known as The Brudi Brothers of Seattle. The Brothers are biological siblings Johannes, Conrad and George Brudi and make very upbeat music. Special to Seattle World Affairs Council The Brudi Brothers musicianship was particularly evident in the multi-instrumental compositions on their Manzanita album which has been the centerpiece of their 2016 tour set. They have also toured with other acts and their folk/Americana sound harmonizes very well with indie folk which is the music style of touring acts like The Head and The Heart.
