The Christian rock band from South Carolina emerged in 2001 and had led an incredible 20 plus years in music. The group rose to prominence in 2007 with the release of their sophomore album The Heat. The record notably charte in the Billboard 200 and Top Christian Albums chart. By the release of their third album The Outsiders, the band had risen to number 2 on the Christian charts and top 20 on the Mainstream chart. Needtobreathe’s subsequent albums did incredible well, so much so that six of their albums went to number 1. The band also notably won 15 GMA Dove Awards plus a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song, and a Bilboard Music Awards nomination.
